Women Who Inspire: Meet the Trail Bloom Ambassadors

Mountain biking isn’t just a sport—it’s a movement. It’s about finding freedom on two wheels, pushing past limits, and proving that MTB is for everyone. And at the heart of it all? Women who are redefining the trails, one ride at a time.
At Trail Bloom, we’re proud to have a team of incredible ambassadors who embody the true spirit of MTB. They’re guides, racers, mums, adventurers, and community builders, showing that no matter where you are in life, there’s always time to ride.
Here’s a look at some of the real riders inspiring us every day.
🔥 Lucy Allan – The Guide Who Does It All
Based in the Lake District, Lucy is an MTB guide, racer, and full-time educator, proving that you don’t have to choose between life and riding—you can have both.
“I started cycling to school with my mum when I was in secondary school. Then, in 2012, my parents took me to a local cross-country race… and that was it—I was hooked!”
Between guiding riders through the stunning Cumbrian trails and balancing a busy career, Lucy makes time for what she loves. Her go-to kit?
🖤 Trail Bloom trousers: “Lightweight, comfortable, and perfect for long days on the trails.”
🔥 Jo & Mae – The Mother-Daughter Duo Taking on MTB Together
MTB isn’t just for one generation—it’s for all of them. Jo and her 16-year-old daughter Mae are living proof that riding together makes the experience even better.
From local trails to big adventures, Jo & Mae inspire more women and young riders to grab their bikes and get out there. Whether it’s Mae pushing herself to try new technical features or Jo balancing riding with everyday life, they show that MTB is about fun, confidence, and connection.
🚴♀️ Why they love Trail Bloom: “The gear fits properly, lasts forever, and makes us feel comfortable on and off the bike.”
🔥 Jess – The Fearless Rider Pushing Boundaries
Some riders are all about progression, and Jess is one of them. She’s the type to drop into new lines without hesitation, hit jumps, and encourage others to push past their limits.
But more than just shredding, Jess is passionate about making MTB feel less intimidating. She’s the friend who cheers you on, helps you tackle new features, and reminds you that every rider starts somewhere.
🔥 Her advice for new riders? “Forget what people think—just get out and ride. The best riders are the ones having the most fun.”
🔥 Kat – Breaking Stereotypes & Advocating for Plus-Size Riders
Trail
MTB has no size limit, and Kat is here to prove it. As a plus-size rider, she’s challenging outdated ideas of what an MTB rider "should" look like.
Her focus? Confidence.
She knows first hand that finding well-fitting, high-performance MTB gear can be a struggle, and she’s passionate about helping more women feel comfortable on the trails.
💬 “So many people feel like they don’t ‘look’ like a mountain biker. But if you love riding? You’re a mountain biker. It’s that simple.”
🌸 Her go-to kit: Trail Bloom’s inclusive-sized jerseys: “They let me move, breathe, and ride my way.”
🚵♀️ MTB Is for Every Woman. Including You.
These women don’t just ride—they inspire. They remind us that MTB is for every body, every level, and every kind of rider. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been hitting the trails for years, you belong here.
And who knows? Next time, we might be writing about you. 😉
